AWS (Automatic Weather Station) Ippado Island

A complete 24/7 Automated Weather Station was installed on Ippado island in Korea by the YKNTEC team.

This ambitious project included installation of a laser CCTV system to provide long distance surveillance capability. In addition, our engineers developed a long distance Wi-Fi system that enabled the station to have 100mbps data communication, to a distance of 35km away from the mainland. All of the devices have 24/7 operation ability due to the use of a hybrid wind/solar power generator. Our team included a sun tracker as well to maximize the efficiency of power generation from sun panels which change direction automatically according to sun detection.
